Senior Pastor - Tim Machtel
Pastor Tim comes to First United Methodist Church after serving several churches in Florida. He is married to his wife Debbie and they have two daughters Abigail and Rebekah. Pastor Tim brings an excitement for seeing people's lives changed as they are led into their full potential in Jesus Christ. Pastor Tim says, "What an exciting time to be a part of First Church in downtown Dunedin. God has some amazing plans as we develop a community of people who love God with all they have and love the people around them with all they can. I hope to see you in worship this weekend. If you come as our guest please come up and say hello."
Interim Traditional Choir Director - John Koch
John Koch was born and raised here in Dunedin. John brings years of experience leading choirs of all ages. John holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from the University of Florida. He has sung locally with The Master Chorale and the Heralds of Harmony. John's love for choral music and worship combine to create a Traditional worship environment where people experience God's presence. John is married to his wife Shannon and they have three daughters.
Contemporary Worship Leader - Mike Mage
Mike brings a great deal of talent and experience with leading worship of all ages. Mike grew up in Palm Harbor and has a Bachelors Degree in Music from the University of Central Florida. Mike's unique vocals and strong guitar combine to create a worship environment where people experience the presence of God. Mike is newly married to his wife, Kristen.
Children's Minister - Jennifer Scott
Jennifer brings experience in the classroom and a love for children to her position. Jennifer has worked with children in variety of settings and looks forward to leading Compass Kids Children's Ministry and MainStreet to new heights. She leads a great team of folks who desire to make MainStreet the best hour of every child's week. Jennifer is married to her husband Patrick and they have two boys Patrick and Andrew.
Director of Administration - Bridget Thornton
Bridget brings years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and office management in diverse settings, including small businesses, non-profits, and Methodist churches. Bridget is a graduate of The Florida State University and is pursuing her Master of Divinity degree at Asbury Theological Seminary. Bridget is married to her husband Kevin.
Director of Operations - Burt Kroeker
Burt brings years of experience in running his own business and successful offices. He loves the church and is handling all of the day to day operational needs of the church facilities. Burt holds his Bachelor Degree from the University of Nebraska and is married to his wife Karen.
Custodian - Val Suvarev
Val brings experience in caring for the church buildings and grounds. Val can be counted on to keep the buildings in top shape and ready for all our guests and members to utilize. Val grew up in Russia and has been in the states for many years. Val is married and has two children and lives in Tampa West.
